What are the smelting processes and rolling processes for single-phase EI silicon steel sheets?

Single-phase EI silicon steel sheets are mainly smelted by oxygen converter, or smelted by electric arc furnace, combined with molten steel vacuum treatment and AOD technology smelting and rolling. Depending on the application, single-phase EI silicon steel sheets change the silicon and aluminum content during smelting to meet different magnetic requirements. The amount of silicon and aluminum in the high-grade silicon steel sheet is correspondingly increased, and carbon, sulfur and inclusions are minimized.

 

The rolling of single-phase EI silicon steel sheet is divided into two processes of hot rolling and cold rolling. The traditional process of directly producing silicon steel finished products by hot rolling has been rarely used, mainly in two processes of hot rolling and cold rolling. According to different products, the cold rolling process is divided into multi-stand rolling mill and single-stand rolling, in which single-stand rolling mainly produces oriented silicon steel products.

 

The magnetic properties, surface quality, filling factor and punching properties of cold-rolled single-phase EI silicon steel sheets are better than those of hot-rolled silicon steel sheets, and can be produced in rolls. Therefore, the production of hot-rolled silicon steel sheets has been discontinued since a long time ago. The hot-rolled single-phase EI silicon steel sheet is produced by the rapid hot rolling at about 900 ° C and the annealing under hydrogen gas to produce a hot-rolled single-phase EI silicon steel sheet with high yield and good surface quality and magnetic properties.
