It is a key material in high-tech fields such as power, electronics, computers and communications. The market demand is large and the industrialization prospect is very broad. And its development and application can drive a number of related areas of technological progress and coordinated development.

In electronic technology, amorphous alloys have greatly promoted the development of electronic components in the direction of high frequency, high efficiency, energy saving and miniaturization with their excellent physical properties such as high efficiency, low loss and high magnetic permeability, and can partially replace the traditional ones. Materials such as silicon steel, permalloy and ferrite. It can be predicted that amorphous alloys will occupy a very important position in future electronic technologies. Therefore, amorphous alloys are also known as new functional materials across the century.

In power technology, the distribution transformer using amorphous alloy as the core material can reduce the no-load loss by 60%-80% compared with the same capacity silicon steel core transformer. By using this type of transformer, the United States can save nearly 50 × 109 KWH of no-load loss per year, and the economic benefit of energy saving is about 3.5 billion US dollars. Therefore, amorphous alloys are also known as green materials. China is the fastest growing energy consumption country in the world, and it is also a country with energy shortages. It is especially important to develop this new type of transformer to meet the needs of sustainable development and protection of the ecological environment.

In the international arena, the United States, Germany, Japan and other countries have invested heavily in the development of the amorphous alloy industry. China has also invested a large amount of funds in four consecutive five-year plans to organize key scientific and technological research. As the main undertaker, the Iron and Steel Research Institute has achieved more than 200 internationally advanced scientific research achievements in basic research, materials research, process equipment, application development and industrialization through nearly 20 years of hard work. Together with the successful listing of Antai Technology Co., Ltd., which was controlled by the Iron and Steel Research Institute last year, it has created a good environment for the industrialization of amorphous materials.

Relying on the results of national key research projects and national industrialization demonstration projects, Antai has established a “1000-ton iron-based amorphous ribbon production line” and the corresponding “amorphous distribution transformer core production line”. This indicates that the production and application of amorphous microcrystalline materials in China has entered the stage of industrialization.

During the implementation of the project, Antai Technology highlighted engineering and supporting technologies, key technologies in the industrialization of amorphous strips, iron core manufacturing technology of amorphous distribution transformers, amorphous wire preparation technology, and application development technology of amorphous iron cores. Breakthroughs have been made in other areas. In particular, its 1,000-ton amorphous ribbon production line successfully sprayed 220 mm wide-band material, marking that China's research and production of amorphous materials has reached the international advanced level. At present, only the United States can produce a maximum width of 217. A millimeter of amorphous ribbon. At the end of last year, the company successfully realized online automatic coiling on this production line, making China's amorphous material production capacity rank second in the world.
