Cold-rolled non-oriented electric silicon steel sheet

Because cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet has the advantages of low loss, reliable quality, uniform thickness, and smooth surface, it has been widely used since its introduction, and even gradually replaced the hot-rolled silicon steel sheet. In fact, cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets have developed along two technical routes since their inception. One is to develop in the direction of low price and low Si content to replace the hot rolled silicon steel sheet; on the other hand, it is developed in the direction of low loss and high Si content.


With the development of the times, the market has a large space for energy-saving motors and high-efficiency generators, which lays a good foundation for the rapid development of low-loss cold rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheets. Next, we will briefly introduce the contents of this aspect and hope to deepen our understanding. For users, they are more familiar with the product and will be able to better choose the right product and use it reasonably.


In the actual processing, in order to obtain qualified cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet products, we generally use hot-rolled billets or continuous casting billets to a coil thickness of about 2.3 mm. In the manufacture of low-silicon products, hot-rolled coils are cold-rolled to 0.5 mm thick after pickling. When manufacturing high-silicon products, the hot-rolled strips are pickled, or acid-washed at 800 to 850°C, cold-rolled to 0.55 or 0.37 mm thick.


Next, the cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet is annealed, and the temperature needs to be controlled during this process. Currently, a cold rolling process with a small reduction rate is generally used, so that the crystal grains grow and the iron loss decreases during annealing. Both cold-rolled sheets were finally annealed in a continuous furnace at a temperature of 850°C in a mixed atmosphere of 20% hydrogen and nitrogen, and then an insulating film of phosphate plus chromate was applied.


At present, the thickness of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel cold-rolled products is about 0.28, 0.30, and 0.35 mm. In short, cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel sheet is 0.30 or 0.35 mm thick oriented silicon steel strip as raw material, and then made by pickling, cold rolling and annealing processes.
