EI core product features and assembly requirements outlined

At present, EI core products can be used in various transformer products. Therefore, the choice of iron core material has a great influence on the output power of the transformer. At present, when producing this product, the main thickness specifications are 0.35mm and 0.5mm.


At the same time, with the application of automation technology, when producing EI cores, not only the production efficiency has been significantly improved, but also the product quality has been improved. The product commonly used specifications are EI24-EI114, (including holes and no holes). When assembling, there are two methods that can be used: overlap method and overlap method.

The so-called overlap method actually means that the openings of the EI cores are alternately distributed one on one side. The use of this assembly method can reduce the gap of the silicon steel sheet, and has a small magnetic resistance to increase the magnetic flux. The stacking rule is mainly applied to the occasion of direct current, which is to avoid the saturation caused by the direct current.


It should be noted that under normal circumstances, there should be a certain gap between the silicon steel sheet. Therefore, when assembling by the overlap method, it is necessary to set the E-piece and the I-piece of the EI core aside, and the gap between the two can be adjusted with the paper.


In addition, when assembling the EI core, it should be noted that its number of laminations must be in accordance with the standards and actual needs, because too much will damage the skeleton, if too little, the excitation current is too large and other undesirable effects. EI cores are widely used in electronic transformers, inductors, and ballasts.
