Smelting and rolling of motor lamination steel and its application field

Motor lamination steel It is a ferrosilicon soft magnetic alloy with extremely low carbon content, generally containing 0.5 to 4.5% silicon. The addition of silicon increases the electrical resistivity and magnetic permeability of iron, reducing coercivity, core loss and magnetic aging. The motor composite steel sheet is mainly smelted by oxygen converter, combined with molten steel vacuum treatment and AOD technology (see refining outside the furnace, using die casting or continuous casting method).


Depending on the application, the silicon and aluminum content of the motor lamination steel is changed to meet different magnetic requirements. The amount of silicon and aluminum in the high grade silicon steel sheet is correspondingly increased. Minimize carbon, sulfur and inclusions. The rolling of the motor lamination steel is divided into two processes of hot rolling and cold rolling. The traditional process of directly producing silicon steel finished products by hot rolling has been rarely used, mainly in the two processes of hot rolling and cold rolling.


Motor lamination steel are widely used in the manufacture of various magnetic components such as telecommunication and instrumentation. For example, the core of a magnetic device such as a power transformer, a pulse transformer, a converter, a magnetic amplifier, and a choke coil. With the continuous development of science and technology, the device is required to have high performance and small volume. For this reason, the frequency chosen for the device is also getting higher and higher.
