Annealing Temperature Control Of EI Silicon Steel Sheet

The EI silicon steel sheet should maintain a suitable temperature during the annealing process and should not be too high or too low. Too high can affect the insulation coating or bond the laminate. Normally, the temperature of the oriented EI silicon steel sheet is about 800 degrees, and the annealing temperature of the non-oriented silicon steel sheet is about 700 degrees. In the annealing, the protective atmosphere in the furnace is strictly controlled as the non-oxidizing atmosphere.


In general, to obtain high-quality EI silicon steel products, it is necessary to ensure that the production equipment and processes used meet certain requirements. At the same time, because of its characteristics, its application has become more and more extensive. At present, this product is mainly used in high speed motors and transformers. From the viewpoint of reducing iron consumption and improving efficiency, annealing of high silicon steel plates is very important.


In order to meet the requirements of the application, in the production of EI silicon steel sheet products, it should be determined that the selected silicon steel material has these excellent properties:

First, the iron loss should be low. This is also the most important indicator to measure the quality of EI silicon steel products. At present, the grades are mainly based on the iron loss value. The lower the iron loss, the higher the grade. In practical applications, reducing power loss is very important.

Followed by strong magnetic field conditions, should maintain strong magnetic induction strength. This can reduce the size and weight of the iron core of the motor and the transformer. It is more convenient to use and install, and it can also save silicon steel sheets, copper wires and insulating materials.

Third, the selected silicon steel material and maintain a good surface quality, such as to maintain smooth, flat and uniform thickness, which can increase the fill factor of EI silicon steel products.

Fourth, for some miniature and small motors, the selected EI silicon steel products should also have good punching performance.

In addition to the above points, the adhesion and welding performance of the surface insulation film of EI silicon steel sheet products should be kept good, which will help prevent corrosion and improve punching properties. In short, meeting these performance requirements will improve the use of EI silicon steel sheets.
